This tropical features large, long leaves that resemble banana leaves.

The flowers are beautiful, red hanging bracts. The leaves and flowers are covered in a wax coating that acts as a natural defense against pesky insects.

They grow to usually 6 to 8 feet tall. They need rich well-drained soil, and make great container plants.
