Minor amoenus

Commonly called Ghost bamboo for is frosty white appearance. This bamboo is vivid green with dark green stripes and a white powdery finish. It makes an excellent privacy hedge as well as a beautiful specimen however, its large ornamental leaves shred in high winds, so it’s recommended only for protected locations.  It grows to about 25′ and develops a 2 inch wide culm.  Clumping bamboos can be planted without fear of them spreading beyond their assigned territory, making them non-invasive.
