Locally Grown. Locally Owned. Since 1977.
Nestled against the breathtaking Koʻolau mountain range, Sharon’s Plants has been a trusted source for Hawaii’s gardeners, homeowners, and landscape professionals for nearly 50 years. Founded by Sharon Peterson in 1977, the nursery has grown into one of the islands’ most beloved plant destinations.
On 20 acres in beautiful Waimānalo, we nurture a wide variety of plants—from hardy landscape favorites and elegant palms to colorful flowers, fruit trees, water plants, and indoor greenery. Each plant is grown with care, ensuring quality and resilience in Hawaii’s unique climate.
Guided today by Sharon’s daughter, Robin Petersen, and a knowledgeable, friendly team, Sharon’s Plants continues to uphold its tradition of excellence, offering both expertise and aloha to every customer who visits.
Sharon Peterson, founder of Sharon’s Plants, was a pioneering force in Hawaii agriculture beginning in 1977. Sharon’s work was honored with numerous awards from the Bromeliad Society International. Her legacy and contributions to Hawaii’s agricultural community live on through the plants and hybrids she created.
