The song of India plant is a species from the dracaena genus (dracaena reflexa) which has become a popular house plant. This tree like plant is fairly easy to grow and maintain like others from this genus, although it does require high humidity levels.

Here in Hawaii, variegated Song of India is a popular landscaping plant for tropical gardens. The plants are propagated by stem cuttings. The leaves and leafy twigs can be used in tropical flower arrangements. Perennial, Evergreen, Tree, Shrub Hawaii Native Status: Cultivated.
